This winter has delivered us unusual amounts of rain and has prevented us from hiking. We took advantage of a sunny weekend and went for it. We returned to the hike that Isabela and I had to bail on a couple of years ago. Granted she was only 2 or 3 years old at the time, so that’s a lot of pressure for a toddler to hike up for almost 2 hours.
This time we did it! We hiked for an hour and 45 minutes all the way up to Angel’s Rest! The view of the Gorge on a clear and sunny day was spectacular! Isabela earned her trail name- rock hopper. She was so proud of herself for making it to the top that as she was walking down with Daddy she would hop and skip over rocks!
On the way home the kids got a treat of hot chocolate and a cookie! It was a great day!
